                Blue gills will steal a bit...but they worked good for me..minnows work good too.

                  The blue gills are gorgeous on Guntersville. Not planning to go this year, but the May full moon is when they thrive.

                    Ever catch the big cats over on lake West Point in Troup county, Ga? It's about 45 minutes from Wedowee. I got a 140 pounder by the dam. Long, long ago. They get allot bigger. But the sun cats in Florida are more fun.

                      No, most of the cats we've gotten are from crappie fishing. My Dad boated a 50 pound blue on a jig and 4 pound test. It's a lot like deep sea fishing when a big cat is lurking under a pier. Have your drag set well, get him into open water and wear him out.
